The
obituaries and death notices indexed here are found in the microfilm
collection of the Rylander Memorial Library. It is an ongoing
project and this website will be updated as the index grows.
The levels of information in the items indexed vary greatly in
detail. We have tried to indicate what sort of information is
given in the comment space. For example, a card of thanks may
be indexed because it listed the surviving family members or it
might have been the only reference to the death found. Sometimes
the comment is used to pinpoint where the item is located or where
the individual died.
The cemeteries have been listed when they were given. If they are
not in San Saba County, we have indicated the town or state. The
San Saba City cemetery was known as the Odd Fellows cemetery until
about 1930. The Hanna Cemetery is now known as the Cherokee cemetery.

The best available copy of the requested obituaries
will be sent to you. This is usually a digital image via e-mail.
